Ah I love Home Alone! Definitely a Christmas movie! I am on the fence about Die Hard. My dad and brother watch it every Christmas but when I think about it it really is not a Christmas movie. Another one that my friends debate about is The Nightmare Before Christmas. Is it a Halloween or Christmas movie?

  2. Home Alone is definitely a Christmas movie. Gremlins is a stretch. But I was just talking to someone about Die Hard last night! (Were you reading my mind?) it’s always on at Christmas time but really, I don’t think it’s a Christmas movie at all!!

    Seriously though – you’re a mind reader!

  3. The only one on this list I consider a Christmas movie is Home Alone!

  4. Home Alone is Christmasy for sure! What I forgot about those movies, I’ve been reminded as my 6 and 4 year old have just discovered them. This alarms me.
Anyways, you’ve just given me great ideas to watch Batman Returns and Die Hard now.

Aaah! It won’t be Christmas without Home Alone.

  6. Love this list!! I really enjoy watching Home alone and die hard at this time of year too! (I don’t see it as strange either, since they always put die hard on tv at this time of year and it is set at Christmas- plus it’s *amazing* 😉 )

Hmmm…how about The Nightmare Before Christmas? It doubles as a Christmas and Halloween movie, which is kind of strange if you think about it. I watched Home Alone for the FIRST TIME last year and he really does beat the crap out of those guys lol.
